International Women's Day Special with Madison Griffiths
**TRIGGER WARNING - Domestic Violence and Abuse**
In a special International Women’s Day episode of Writes4Women Kel chats with the magnificent Madison Griffiths. Madison is a writer, poet, artist, domestic abuse survivor and advocate, podcaster and hard-core feminist.
Kel takes a journey back with Madison, over the last 4 years of her life and feminism. Starting at 2016 - the year Madison left her abusive relationship and embarked on her own journey of self construction. Also the year we saw #metoo trigger a movement of reckoning for women’s rights.
To now, 2020, when Madison is into the 2nd season of her empathetic podcast about life after abuse, “Tender” and when Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty of rape but Domestic Violence and Homicide is still being blamed on the victims, as we saw recently in QLD.
Since then both Madison and society have gone through a massive feminist metamorphosis, one that is still taking place. This metamorphosis, what it has meant for the next generations of women, where it is failing and where it could end up is what they talk about in this episode.
